BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS
This was the first building in a planned 850,000 sf mixed-use development complex which includes a 950 car parking structure.
The building’s grey brick facade complements the reinforced concrete and steel transit station. The two-story entrance lobby, initially the headquarters for the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles, opens onto a lively new pedestrian and vehicular plaza adjacent to the Ruggles Street Transit Station, also designed by Stull and Lee. The lobby’s illuminated, vaulted ceiling provides a central reference point for visitors to public offices on the building’s First and Second Floors.
