NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA
Stull and Lee, Inc. as part of a consulting team assembled by Lambert Advisory, LLC was hired by the City Council of New Orleans to provide neighborhood based planning assistance for the areas of the city hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina.
Stull and Lee prepared plans for the Lower Ninth Ward and Holy Cross Neighborhoods.
A series of meetings to seek the input and direction of the residents of both neighborhoods, many who journeyed back to participate in the process, produced an overall planning framework for revitalization. Specific interventions proposed include live/work mixed use development on the banks of the Mississippi River and a new town center strategically located in the Lower Ninth Ward to symbolize its ultimate resurgence.
The completed plans were unanimously approved by the Council to be sent to the City Planning Commission and the Louisiana Recovery Agency for funding
